From the President
Tempus fugit and along with the tide, wait for no man... or no woman either. We're scarcely clear of the festivities of Christmas and New Year and supposed holiday mode, when whoop-de-do, time hustles in cracking a whip. We're still waiting for the summer tide to turn and ...well, flow into summer. Not likely to happen, according to the meteorological predictions. No summer and clearly 2012 well under way, I wish Tauranga Writers (group and individuals) a healthy, prosperous and productive year. Lets not worry about the seasons or the furious passage of time.
My motto this year is “Write or Die” ( its actually the name of an ipad ). Normally I don't tell people my little mind games, but you will note that I've put it in bold print in the hope of inspiring others. Namely anyone who is reading this. Lets encourage our fellow writing friends to make 2012 a bumper year for accomplishment. Word pictures, thoughts, imagery – whatever works for you. Simply, apply your creative, writer's minds to blossom and hey presto, you will bear an abundance of succulent fruit.
I'm looking forward to the February meeting.
Happy writing
